Intelius, Inc., is a public records company that provides information-based services and products to individuals and whole corporate entities. Promoting services like background check, criminal check, and identity theft protection services, the company gathers information from public sources on and off the Internet. Intelius was established in January of 2003, when a group of visionaries from InfoSpace — an Internet pioneer that provides metasearch and private-label Internet search services — launched the company with the mission to provide fast, innovative and cost-effective information-powered services for personal and business safety.
The products offered has two categories: Intelius consumer services and Intelius enterprise services. With Intellius consumer services, it offers protection services such as: ID theft and credit reporting services, criminal and sex offenders search and reverse phone search. The Intellius enterprise services offer assistance to business, apartment owners and landlords for tenant screening, etc.
Over the years, the company has enjoyed phenomenal success due to the innovativeness of its products. Their indispensability in today’s modern world has raked in a massive demand and now the company’s site is regarded as one of the top 100 sites in the Internet.
Even with this repute though, Intelius co-founder and CEO Naveen Jain have strived hard to give back to the community — Intellius has given more than $1 million and hundreds of hours to volunteer services to organizations that support education, basic needs, and healthcare. Organizations supported by the company include: the United Way and Hopelink (assists homeless and curb hunger for low-income families) and Children’s Hospital (giving disadvantaged children equal access to healthcare). Intelius has also given donations to University of Washington’s scholarship grants for business and computer science students. “Intelius is driven to support our community and its members both by providing services that help protect and empower them and their loved ones, and by giving to organizations that do the same,” says Naveen Jain.
